Born in Lebanon and with a background in Economics and international Business, Maya Rasamny studied Contemporary Art at Christies Education in London where she lives with her family. She is an engaged supporter of the visual arts and a passionate advocate of Middle Eastern Contemporary Art. She Co-Chairs the Tate's Middle East and North Africa Acquisition committee, sits on the International Council Committee at the Tate and is a trustee of Parasol Unit foundation for Contemporary art. She is also on the Middle East Acquisition committee of the British Museum.
